A "Moving" Milestone

I never thought I would have another one of these

Many months have passed since my last blog entry. Last time I did, I had just been approved for Social Security Disability. I started receiving it in August.

My attention turned towards getting my own place. I had money, and some "help", so it should have been quick & possible. It wasn't quick...

The "help" didn't help very much, and the calendar just kept turning with no progress towards my housing goal.

In October, I finally received my lump sum payment from Social Security, so I started to spend a little bit of it - I paid off all of my debts from before my time being homeless, and I bought a used car (photo above). Now all I needed was a more permanent place to live.

Since the "help" wasn't helping very much (if at all), and my time in my current shared living situation was getting more limited, I decided to go out on my own to try and get a place for me to live.

I was accepted at the first place I applied to. It is a place that I can afford, and it's close to all of the places I need to get to. I move / moved in on Friday, November 10th.

I am looking forward to this new adventure of living on my own again.

From going crazy, to trying to end it all multiple times, to becoming homeless, to getting approved for Social Security Disability, to getting out from under all of my debt, and finally finding a new place for me to live on my own again... It has been "interesting".

I just wish I had known that I was disabled from the time that "The Klaw" was created, rather than me trying to struggle to get along with it for over a decade. It certainly hurt me and, in turn, I (sadly) ended up hurting those around me. At least it is taken care of now.

I wish I could thank every one of you who have followed me on this journey, and did more than just a little bit to help me get to this point. I feel unworthy, but also accepting of all of the help, support, and well-wishes I have been fortunate enough to receive during all of my "down times".

If you have questions... I am now very ready to be an open book... I have the time to answer and write more...

This isn't the end... Just a fortunate respite along the way of life.
